It is a long number that Microsoft generates on your computer during telephone activation, normally shown as nine groups of seven digits. It is unique to your machine and your product key, and it is what the Confirmation ID is calculated from.
No. Telephone activation is a normal Microsoft process and it is triggered by all sorts of ordinary things, including hardware changes, reinstalling Windows, or activating on a machine with no internet connection. Every key we sell is genuine and covered by our warranty.
Double-check that you copied the Installation ID exactly, with no missing digits, and that you did not close and reopen the wizard between generating the code and entering it. Reopening the wizard produces a new Installation ID, which makes the old Confirmation ID invalid. If it still fails, email us and we will sort it out.
This tool is for keys purchased from Kymakers, because the Tempcode comes with your order. If you bought elsewhere, your seller should be providing the same support.
